About Jawad Salim

Jawad Salim’s medical journey first began with an education. Jawad graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2008 with a B.S. in biology. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the International American University College of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. Salim’s training didn’t end here, as the next step was to gain some experience through postgraduate training. First, Salim chased an Internal Medicine Internship with the Medical College of Georgia. Once complete, Salim focused on his specialty, anesthesiology. He did so by completing a residency in anesthesiology in the same facility.
As a medical professional, Jawad Salim has earned many certifications and licenses over the years. For example, Jawad Salim has medical licenses for North Carolina and Georgia. He also has a certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology as of 2017. Finally, Salim has certifications in ACLS, B.L.S., and PALS.
Once Jawad Salim had all the tools necessary for success, he started his professional journey. This began with a position at Aiken Anesthesiology. Here, Jawad was one of two anesthesiologists providing services throughout the hospital. Following his time with Aiken, Salim moved on to a larger organization. As part of Augusta Consultants, Jawad Salim worked alongside eight other anesthesiologists. They worked as a team, providing services for J.M.S. Burn Center and local outpatient surgery centers. One of these centers was Augusta Plastic Surgery, where Salim acted as medical director during his time there.
Recently Jawad Salim moved on to a different role. He now works with iOBX in Charlotte. Jawad Salim is still an anesthesiologist, providing concierge anesthesia services to patients of iOBX. This company is notable due to its unique perspective on orthopedic conditions and potential treatment options. In other words, it is an organization that Jawad Salim is proud to be part of.
Jawad Salim has two significant sources of inspiration in his life. The first is his father. His father was an immigrant, moving to America with nothing but hope and a dream. Despite starting with next to nothing, Salim’s father always made a point of providing his children with new opportunities. Jawad’s secondary source of inspiration is much more recent – his three children. They are why he gets up every morning, providing him with a source of sunshine on even the cloudiest days. Jawad Salim’s deepest desire is to provide his children with the same opportunities his father did for him. In this way, he can honor his father while setting up a future of success for his children.
When not busy with work, Jawad Salim cherishes spending time with his family. He also enjoys a good round of college football. It’s an enjoyable and relaxing sport to watch, and he hopes that someday his children will join him in watching and celebrating his favorite teams.
